I have a huge stack of books I’m reading through (I always have a good list of books I am reading at any given time). Right now I’m looking forward to getting Bob Woodward’s new book ‘War’. It’s on its way now—so I guess ‘right now’ I’m reading Amazon tracking emails which say—“War is out for delivery”. 🤣 hilarious!

Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. But I have Baldacci's book waiting in the wings since I saw your first video interview! A Gentleman in Moscow is my go-to and "old" Grisham because the characters become "my people." I'm really interested in your biography! And I enjoy your writing style. I am compiling life stories of my own at the request of my son and do enjoy writing as though I'm sitting down with someone.

I enjoyed that very much and without having ever read any of your works, your Writerly voice, candor and open energy is something that, well, I dig. I am currently reading an old article in The Comics Journal on Picasso and Comics. It is truly interesting and I wish you and ALL a fine week full of fun, Art and the unexpected. https://www.tcj.com/picasso-and-comics/

I have a little pile at the side of the bed: Journey to Portugal by Jose Saramago, a gift from a friend (because I moved to Portugal): Through the Safety Net, stories by Charles Baxter; Cold snap by stories by Thom Jones, The Ice at the Bottom of the World, stories by Mark Richard. I love the short story!

Reading Anna Quindlen - Write for your Life; and Juan Rulfo's Pedro Paramo - Love the idea of Writing a story you tell your friends - colloquial writing. I facilitate a short story writing group with inmates in prison and it could be a great prompt for them. I might have to steal it. Quindlen made me start a handwritten letter writing campaign, which has been illuminating. I really enjoyed free Wednesday, thanks.

I just started reading ‘Wherever you go there you are’ by Jon Kabat-Zinn. And after reading your first Substack episode, I just now realize that I am a colloquial writer too. This is going to be a hoot!

I’m reading your book ERUPTION written with Crichton (RIP). A page turner. Shorter chapters are great. You cover a lot of technical info that needs to be absorbed. Almost to the end. Why did Jenny go the way of the lava? She was perfect for Mac! Rebecca still standing on a fractured ankle? 📚🎶 Christine E Robinson
