Okay! First of all, I'm wearing my Vanderbilt hat here. I went to Vanderbilt, and every couple of decades I get to wear this hat when they have a win over anybody.
And in this case, if you don't know, they beat Alabama, the number one team in the country, Kaitlin Collins's team. So this was a big win for us.
But I'm actually here to talk about co-authors! People like to talk behind my back about the co-authors, and they try to explain why I do it. Blah blah blah!
And the the way it started is, I just have all these ideas for for whatever it is (it's a disease). And at a certain point I said, I can't tell all these stories myself, I couldn't possibly write them all.
So I started writing with a co-author. The first one, I think, was Peter de Jonge and we did Miracle on the 17th Green. Then it just sort of grew from there.
And I love doing it. But here's the thing. Here's what's coming your way so there'll be no more baloney. You’re gonna listen to the co-authors, and they're gonna talk behind my back.
If I did it - then they'd probably be embarrassed, you know, because I'd say, “How am I to work with?” And they'd say, “Oh, you're the best…” - you know. So that wouldn't be right. So, Maggie, who's our producer and is pulling all this together (so if you have anybody to blame for any of this - blame Maggie).
She'll be doing the interviews with the co-authors. We're gonna do Lupica and Matt Eversmann and Maxine Paetro, etc. Most of them if not all of them - or whoever agrees to do it. So that's what’s coming your way!
